One of the assignments that I enjoyed doing in high school was my Hidden Figures project for Geometry class. I got to choose a person who has a math education and write about him and use shapes to draw him. This project was really interesting because I got to learn the history of David Harold Blackwell history and also turn it into a art piece.
One of the works I am really proud throughout high school was a poem I did my junior year for English. I felt really passionate when writing this poem because I got to express my feelings and the topic I chose for this poem relates to me because I am writing about my country. When writing this poem I felt sad because because my country is in war but I had to brush that aside and had to bring awareness to this topic because its not talked about enough.
Saudi Arabia in war with Yemen Saudi Arabia you've taken all and left us with nothing. Saudi Arabia five years have past. I can't stand my own thoughts. Saudi Arabia when will you end the Yemen war? Go collect your armed soldiers. Saudi Arabia when will you be forgiving? When will you give Yemen all their resources back? When will you look at yourself through the puddles of tears? I'm sick of your insane demands. When can kids go to school without feeling scared that the school building will explode? Saudi Arabia after all the war is between you and I, stop bringing other countries into this. Your commands are too much for me. You've turned us to peasants. There must be another way to end this war. Saudi Arabia, why don't you go to war with someone as powerful as you are?
